Yolanda del Río is a Mexican ranchera singer and actress from Hidalgo whose emotionally charged delivery made her a leading voice of the genre during the 1970s and 1980s. She rose to prominence with “La Hija de Nadie” and built an enduring catalog that includes “Con Golpes de Pecho,” “Se Me Olvidó Otra Vez,” “Tus Maletas en la Puerta” and “Camas Separadas.” Her album Un Amor Especial received a Grammy nomination for Best Mexican-American Performance. Del Río also developed a substantial film career, with credits including La hija de nadie, La India blanca and La Jorobada.
