The David Copperfield Theater is an intimate, purpose-built venue inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino dedicated to the world of illusion. Seating 740 guests, it features plush red booths, vaulted ceilings, and tiered sightlines designed so every seat feels close to the stage. The theater primarily hosts David Copperfield's residency — a fast-moving blend of storytelling, grand illusions, and audience participation — and occasionally welcomes other headline performers.

Local History

The theater's lobby was refurbished in 2015 with custom display pieces created in collaboration with Copperfield and his design director, including museum-quality cases housing a bronze statue from his stage show and one of his 21 Emmy Awards.

A meet-and-greet with David Copperfield can be added on top of a standard ticket purchase — a rare chance for a personal encounter with the headliner. Photography and video are not permitted during the show itself, so plan accordingly.

Getting There

Arrival Strategy

The theater sits on the casino level of MGM Grand; from the main entrance, walk through the casino floor, turn left toward Whiskey Down, continue past the M life Desk, and the theater will be on your left. Arriving at least 30–60 minutes early is advisable to allow time to navigate the casino and find your seats, as all guests must be seated no later than 15 minutes before showtime.
