Spotlight Summary

About Alicia Keys’ Hell’s Kitchen

Hell’s Kitchen – The Musical is a Broadway touring production inspired by Alicia Keys’ life and music, featuring a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story set in 1990s Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. The show follows 17-year-old Ali as she pursues her dreams and finds her voice through music, love, and friendship. Fresh off its acclaimed Broadway run, the production features a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz, direction by Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, and choreography by Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown, and its original cast recording won Best Musical Theater Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

Hell’s Kitchen brings Broadway magic to downtown with a poignant coming-of-age story set to Alicia Keys’ iconic music at the Smith Center.
