Sir Rod Stewart, born on January 10, 1945, is a British singer and songwriter renowned for his distinctive raspy voice and chart-topping success. Starting his music career in 1962 as a busker with a harmonica, Stewart joined the Jeff Beck Group in 1967 and later formed Faces in 1969, launching his solo career with the album "An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down" the same year. His breakthrough came with "Every Picture Tells a Story" in 1971, followed by "Never a Dull Moment" in 1972, both of which topped charts worldwide. After Faces disbanded in 1975, Stewart continued his commercial success with albums like "Atlantic Crossing" and "A Night on the Town," which featured hits such as "Sailing" and "Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright)." In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he transitioned into a soft rock style, with hits like "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Rhythm of My Heart." Stewart's enduring impact is reflected in his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his numerous chart-topping albums and singles, and his knighthood in 2016 for services to music and charity.
