Spotlight Summary
The 2026 U23 World Wrestling Championships, also known as the Galaxy U23 World Championships, bring together more than 600 elite under-23 athletes from across the globe for a week-long international tournament at the Thomas & Mack Center. All three Olympic styles are featured, with Greco-Roman, women’s freestyle, and men’s freestyle competition spread across the event, including Team USA standouts such as Olympic champion Amit Elor and returning U23 World champions Kylie Welker and Luke Lilledahl. This marks the first time the United States has hosted a World Championships of any age group since 2015.
The Thomas & Mack Center sets the stage for the first U23 World Wrestling Championships in the U.S., showcasing elite athletes in Greco-Roman, women’s, and men’s freestyle.

The Thomas & Mack Center is a multi-purpose arena located on the UNLV campus, hosting various events including basketball games and NBA Summer League.

Maximum seating capacity of 19,522 for boxing and 18,776 for basketball. The concourse spans 42,000 sq ft. The facility has 30 VIP luxury suites and hosts more than 250 events annually.
Getting to Thomas and Mack Center
The arena is located on the UNLV campus, less than 5 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The box office is on the southwest side of the building. Guests needing special assistance may be dropped off at the main entrance. Escalators are available outside the arena and Strip View Pavilion.
At Thomas and Mack Center
The 35,000-sq-ft Strip View Pavilion, added as part of the 2016 $72.5 million modernization, is a multi-purpose facility on the west side of the building that can host meetings, private events, and fan activations. The complex also includes the adjacent Cox Pavilion, directly connected to the main arena.
