Awakening is a large-scale theatrical production performed in the custom-built Awakening Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. The show follows IO, a reluctant heroine who journeys through fantastical realms to reunite the forces of Light and Darkness and restore balance to the world. Narrated by Anthony Hopkins, the production combines acrobatics, dance, illusions, original music, elaborate costumes and enormous puppets created by acclaimed character designer Michael Curry. Its 60 international performers appear on a 360-degree prismatic stage equipped with immersive, seat-level audio and advanced theatrical technology. Since debuting in 2022, Awakening has continued to evolve with updated choreography, costumes, narration and new specialty acts, including shoulder ballet, slackwire and Russian bar. Audiences can expect an 80-minute fantasy spectacle built around visual storytelling, athletic performance and technically ambitious staging.
