About National Geographic Live: Ben Mirin “Saving Nature’s Symphony”

National Geographic Live: Ben Mirin "Saving Nature’s Symphony" is a live speaker presentation featuring acoustic biologist, artist, and National Geographic Explorer Dr. Ben Mirin, who travels the world recording wildlife sounds — from birdsong to howling lemurs to whale calls. Mirin, the founding director of the Creative Conservation Lab in partnership with Cornell University and UNC Chapel Hill, combines science, storytelling, and live music performance as a "wildlife DJ" to illuminate what nature’s voices reveal about the health of our planet.

Experience the captivating sounds of the natural world with Dr. Ben Mirin at Smith Center’s intimate Reynolds Hall.
